Talent show for Primary School
Everyone that haven't entered yet, now's your chance!
Our Talent show for Primary School aged children (10 - 13), will be held on Wednesday, 2 November 2011, at 18:30
There are 4 categories for which you can enter:
Dance Drama Music Art
All you have to do is to select your favorite category, fill out an entry form and mail it back to us.

Art Workshop - 29 October 2011
Upcoming art workshop!
Workshop held on Saturday, 29 October, from 09:00 - 12:00.
We will concentrate on a still life; first drawing the display, and then painting it.
Bring your own canvas (medium sized).
Brushes will be available if you do not have your own, and paint is available for purchase @ R30 extra.
Costs are R150 per person.
Be sure to book your place soon! Entries will close on Thursday, 27 October.

Talent Shows!
There is definite progress and a crisp freshness in the air fills me with excitement for this month! The month ahead is filled with many challenges; new people to meet and new art to discover. I invite you to take part in this journey!
Talent show for ages 10-13:
This takes place on the 2nd of November 2011. It's a Wednesday night and we will start at around 19:00. Participants can take part in any of the following categories: Dance, Art & Music.
Costs are R30 per entry, and entries close on Tuesday, 1 November.
Talent show for ages 14-18:
This show takes place on the 3rd of November 2011. The Thursday night will also start at around 19:00.
Participants can take part in either: Dance, Drama, Art or Music.
Costs are R50 per entry, and entries close on Wednesday, 2 November.
General:
There are cash prizes to be won in each category + 2 additional, free classes for each. Spectators are very welcome to watch the show, at only R10 per person.

What an exciting month that lies ahead!
Rhythmic School of Arts is hosting its first very own Talent evening! This project is still in its developing stages, but the event will be held at the end of this month (exact date and venue will still be confirmed)! The focus group is specifically for grades 4 - 6 (ages 10 to 12). They can partake in the art form of their choice, and there will be 1st to 3rd prizes, for each category. I am very excited about the prospects of this event.
Then we will also be hosting another Art workshop on Saturday, the 29th of October, so be sure to book your place ASAP at: arts.inspired@gmail.com
Then the event of the year will be our official opening function, in the 3rd week of November. The idea of this event is to share the vision and mission of the School. Art works will be set out, and this will also be an opportunity for businesses, parents and teachers to become part of the School. It will be an evening of inspiration through the arts!

Strength & Fitness
Strength and Fitness classes are kicking my butt! I didn't think that I've become this unfit!! It's a wonderful challenge though to every week concentrate on a different part of the body to strengthen.
Classes are a combination of strengthening the body while at the same time getting a cardio workout to get those fitness levels up. Once a month classes will focus specifically on fitness and then the majority of time will go into this. Everyone and anyone are welcome to join, no matter how fit or unfit you are!

Acryllic Art Workshop
Off to start our first Acryllic Paint art workshop!
Have you ever just wanted to paint, but never really had proper training in this? Or you did have training but just have no idea where to start? Well, this workshop is for you! Main aim is to explore the possibilities of colour, lighting, texture and structure. Be sure not to miss out on this opportunity!
First workshop to be held on Friday, 26 August 2011. Anyone 18 years and older are welcome to join in this workshop. We will be working specifically with acryllic paint, learn how to mix colours and paint a still life.

Beginners Ballet for Adults
This is the first step to a much more beautiful dance!
Ballet is about poise and posture and balance. It elegantly captures that combination of femininity and strength that few other things in life can. Now I know that there will immediately be some that say this is only for a select few, but I beg to differ. Professional ballet might only be for a select few, but in general we can all gain from the poise of ballet.
These classes are specifically for those who always felt that they were not good enough, or built right, or whatever other lies might have been thrown at them. It is a very basic ballet, aimed at correcting your posture and teaching your mind and body to dance upright, from the inside out.
